FDA approves phentermine for short-term weight management
Phentermine, a sympathomimetic amine, is approved as a short-term adjunct in a weight-reduction regimen. Sixty-seven years later it remains among the three most-prescribed weight-loss drugs in the United States and the cheapest, at roughly $15 per fill out of pocket.
