    The SCOUT cardiovascular outcomes trial shows a 16% increase in serious cardiovascular events. Abbott agrees to withdraw; approval is formally withdrawn effective 2010-12-21. Sibutramine subsequently becomes the most common undeclared adulterant found in illegal weight-loss supplements.

    Novo Nordisk's once-daily GLP-1 receptor agonist Victoza, NDA 022341, is first listed as marketed in the US. It carries a boxed warning for thyroid C-cell tumors seen in rodents and is dosed at 0.6, 1.2 or 1.8 mg daily.
